1.) Rocher de la Vierge – The Virgin’s Rock
This landmark is one of Biarritz’s most iconic sights, and it surely is one of Biarritz’s most breathtaking hot spots.

The Rocher de la Vierge is a massive rock in the ocean with a bridge connecting it to the main coast. You can even walk across the bridge, giving you the sensation that you’re almost floating above the water.

2.) Église Sainte-Eugénie – The Church of Saint Eugenie
Église Sainte-Eugénie is a neo-Gothic Catholic Church in Biarritz. Built in the neo-Gothic style, this church is close to Port Vieux.

The inside is ornate with astonishingly high ceilings, tall arches and columns, detailed sculptures, decorative tile floors, and stained glass windows.

3.) La Grande Plage
This is THE CENTRAL BEACH of Biarritz! There are tons of shops, stores, restaurants, cafes, and places to grab small bites!
This is definitely the main hub of the town, where you can always find people swimming in the ocean, tanning on the sand, or enjoying a drink at Casino Barrière.

This beach is beautiful at any time of the day, whether it be sunrise or sunset. La Grande Plage is a MUST if you’re looking for relaxation, sunshine, and refreshing waters.
4.) Rocher du Basta – Basta Rock
The Rocher du Basta is another incredibly large chunk of rock in the ocean that is connected to the mainland through a bridge.
One of the most captivating features of Rocher du Basta is its lush greenery. Walking across the sturdy stone bridge into a forest of beautiful foliage and sunshine feels like a little tranquil utopia.

While you’re on the Rocher du Basta, you have a beautiful view of La Grande Plage and the charming building along the seaside. On a gorgeous, sunny day, the ocean water is a stunning turquoise hue. It’s a great place for taking pictures or taking a nice daytime stroll.
5.) Plage du Port Vieux
Another beautiful spot that overlooks the ocean! Here you can find a smaller, less crowded beach area surrounded by some beautiful cliffs.

It’s a great place to relax and unwind that isn’t as busy as La Grande Plage.
