What is banana milk?
Made with water and bananas, banana milk is a gluten-free, dairy-free milk alternative just like almond milk or oat milk. This banana milk recipe calls for mostly water but also some full-fat coconut milk to give richness and more thickness.
Banana milk has become increasingly popular at the grocery stores, so I wanted to play around with some different flavor combinations such as banana and coconut!
What is in Coconut Banana Milk?
The ingredient list is really quite simple! All you need are:
1.) Bananas
2.) Water
3.) Full-fat coconut milk
4.) Maple syrup or agave (I like to keep it plant-based, but you can also substitute with honey!)
5.) Vanilla extract
6.) Coconut extract (This ingredient can be a bit harder to find in stores, so if you aren’t able to find it, you can easily make this recipe without it! This is the one I use for this recipe: McCormick Coconut Extract
